Glass has always been my passion.
Rhonda grew up outside of Washington, D.C. and loved going to the various old churches and being mesmerized by the stained glass windows. She tried to find somewhere in the area to take classes, but no such luck. So the years went by and she moved to Oklahoma to go to school. Once out of school and working in the corporate world she chanced upon a glass studio in Jenks that taught beginning stained glass and thus began her dance with glass. A few years ago under the tutelage a truly wonderful teacher (Danna Ozbun of The Glass Station), Rhonda discovered fusing. This sparked an interest that she's run with and in turn sparked an interest into the world of silver. In particular Precious Metal Clay which is 99.9% fine silver. Rhonda is planning on learning how to blow glass in the not so distant future.
It is very important when creating any fused glass piece that compatible fusing glass is used and a proper annealing process is followed. That is why each fused glass piece that Rhonda creates is carefully handcrafted using Bullseye 90 fusing glass and a variety of different dichroics such as CBS and DichroMagic.
Rhonda is a certified PMC instructor, having been certified in 2006 and in 2007.
